Mr. McCue’s experience in virtually all types of business-to-business marketing and communications spans nearly three decades. A 1977 graduate of New England School of Art & Design, he spent his early professional career as a graphic designer, steadily rising through the ranks to creative director, marketing communications manager, advertising and publicity manager, and then corporate marketing management.


From design to copywriting, production, public relations, media planning, trade shows, packaging, branding and corporate identity, he is skilled in all areas of marketing. His experience includes national and international corporate marketing in industries including plastics, sensors, transducers, metal forming controls, construction hand tools, precision measuring tools, metrology, metalworking and machine tools, and biomedical analytical instrumentation. He has presided over business-to-business and consumer campaigns in trade, print and national television and has authored numerous articles in manufacturing/technology trade journals.


Familiar with both end-user and industrial distribution channels, he was most recently Marketing Manager for the L.S. Starrett Company, a $200 million global manufacturer of precision tools and saw blades. During his 13-year tenure at Starrett, he played a key role in positioning the company’s prestigious quality image in the marketplace. He has also held management positions at Honeywell/Data Instruments and Allied/Instrumentation Laboratory.




Karen Hutner

Manager PR/ Media Services
Karen brings close to 20 years of PR and media experience to McCue & Associates formally working as a Public Relations Manager at a full service integrated marketing firm and prior to that as a newspaper editor.


Understanding the nuances of being an editor enables her to work effectively as a key liaison between clients and editors, facilitating valuable connections and ensuring key article placements. From searching out media opportunities, arranging and coordinating interviews, to writing articles and news releases, clients can rely on Karen to provide a consistent flow of media coverage that makes a positive impact on their companies.


In addition, Karen stays abreast of opportune media placements for clients, assisting in not only the placement, but also the production and day-to-day operations of McCue & Associates.

Carol brings over 20 years of financial experience to McCue & Associates.  She holds a BSBA degree from Nichols College specializing in accounting.  She understands the needs of a diverse group of small businesses, having been a small business owner herself.  Prior to that she was a Cost Analyst at Avery Dennison focusing on managerial cost analysis.
